Minor Changes in Popular News Items

Few days ago, we decided to make the Popular News column to contain items only from last 24 hours. And today we just decided it to contain more than just 10 items.

By this quick update, you can see 20 Items at the Popular News column on right. Also, the font size has been decreased by 2px and made to 13px of size.

We hope this makes the site more useful.

Popular Topics shows last 24 hours only

Just a quick update, and a follow up for today again. We received comments that the Popular Topics showed on right sidebar showed Popular Topics but from the whole news collection, which showed outdated news to be at the topmost position confusing readers.

Hence,we just made a quick update to show the Popular Items from last 24 hours, and we can see Sensible and Breaking News Items Trending at the Top.

Yes,
After hearing some complains from visitors of MeroSamachar - news.meronepalma.com we instantly decided to optimize MeroSamachar for mobile browsing. And it was three days ago, we optimized MeroSamachar for Mobile Browsing.

Its the same URL. No more Links to remember, nothing like wap. or m. , its simply http://news.meronepalma.com on your Mobile Phone's Web Browser, and its at our end we detect your browsing client and throw the respective browsing experience.

Limitations in Mobile Browsing
Even though the optimization has been done, there are some limitations in mobile browsing. Reasons are to make it load faster with low data transfer.

• No Links - News Links wont work this time, only title is supplied.
  
• No Social Buttons - Social buttons have been removed too.

We encourage to use the Normal browsers as far as possible. However, it doesn't mean that there wont be upgrades on the Mobile Browsing Version.

Modified the Framed News Viewing Page

The upgrade and system modification is going in a good pace. Few days ago, we just added BBCNepali onto the News Sources Stack for MeroSamachar, and today we have just modified the Framed News Viewing Page. Its much more inspired, moreover modified version of the Frame from Google's Image Search Result Viewing Page.

• Original News Source Media
• Remove Frame Link
• Search Box for searching Meronepalma.com
